9 Tips To Make Your Adobe Captivate Project More Engaging

Adobe Captivate 2019 is a powerful tool for creating stunning eLearning projects. But what does it take to get the best results? Here are nine tips to help you create better and more engaging Adobe Captivate projects.

1:  Use Clear and Concise Language

Make your content easy to understand for your audience. Use simple language, and use headings and subheadings to help organise your material.

2:  Use Graphics to Enhance Your Content

Images can add a lot of visual interest to your content and can help reinforce key points. Use images relevant to the topic being discussed, and make sure they are appropriately sized to load quickly.

Here are some royalty-free resources that you might find useful:

Images:

Pexels.com: https://www.pexels.com/

Pexels.com is a free stock photos website that offers high-resolution images of objects and scenes worldwide. The site provides a variety of free stock photos, including images of people, nature, architecture, and animals. You can browse through the site’s collection or search for specific types of images, such as food pictures or travel pics.

Pixabay.com: https://pixabay.com/

Pixabay.com is another website where users can upload, share, and find pictures. It has a wide variety of images, including images of nature, people, animals, and food.

Unsplash.com: https://unsplash.com/

Unsplash.com is yet another photo-sharing website. It allows users to upload, share and search for photos. Users can also create collections, add images to albums and share them on social media.

Icons:

Icons8.com: https://icons8.com/

Icons8.com is a website that offers high-quality icons that you can use in your Adobe Captivate projects. The site provides a variety of free and premium icons. On top of that, Icons8.com offers royalty-free music and an incredible Lunacy Design Software completely free.

Fonts:

Fontsquirrel.com: https://www.fontsquirrel.com/

Font Squirrel is a website that offers free and premium fonts you can use in Adobe Captivate projects. The site provides a variety of fonts, including fonts for text, web graphics, and logos. You can also find fonts designed for specific languages, such as Spanish or French.

3:  Use Videos to Add Depth and Context

Videos can be a great way to provide additional context or detail about specific topics. Make sure you choose videos that are relevant to your audience and make sure that your videos are edited well so that they don’t take away from the overall quality of your project.

Video Editing:

Davinci Resolve 18: https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/davinciresolve/

The amazing video editing software I can recommend is a Davinci Resolve 18 from Blackmagic. The free version of this software gives you all the tools you need to create incredible videos for your project.

4: Make Your Course Unique

Don’t be afraid to break the trends with your Adobe Captivate projects. Be creative, and try different techniques to make your projects stand out from the crowd.

5: Use Memorable Quotations

Quotes can add a touch of personality to your projects and can help reinforce key points.  Use memorable quotations to help your students remember what you are teaching.

6: Use Interactive Activities

Activities are very important and can be a great way to keep your students engaged and learning. Use interactive activities to engage your students and make them feel like part of the course.

7: Use Feedback Forms

Feedback forms can be a great way to get feedback from your students. Use feedback forms to ask your students about their experiences with the course and find out what topics they found most interesting. Simply create a feedback form and provide a link to the form somewhere at the end of your project.

Feedback Form:

Google Forms: https://www.google.com/forms/about/

Microsoft Forms: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/online-surveys-polls-quizzes

You can use Google Forms or Microsoft Forms to create the feedback form but consider that Microsoft Forms are part of the Microsoft 365 subscription plan (which is not free).

8: Optimize for Speed and Efficiency

When creating a project in Adobe Captivate, make sure to optimise the project for speed and efficiency. By resizing your images and keeping your videos in the cloud, you will reduce the size of your project, improve project responsiveness, and help your course load quicker.

9: Share Your Projects Online

Once you have completed your project, be sure to share it online. You can share your project on the Adobe eLearning platform and see what others think about your project. This will also help others learn from your experiences and create and improve their Adobe Captivate projects.

Project Sharing Cloud:

Amazon AWS Free Tier: https://aws.amazon.com/free/

You can use services like Amazon AWS to share your completed projects with others. Amazon AWS offers 12 months of AWS Free Tier to all new customers. There are many different services like Amazon AWS, so I recommend researching various platforms according to your needs.
